Tuesday at Last

Do you guys have any idea how hard it has been to wait till Tuesday rolls around just so I can post my first blog on here? I'm guessing you do, at least those of you who haven't posted yet. Seriously though I'm really excited about this project and hopefully it works out better for us then Vlogging did.

I suppose I should follow tradition and introduce myself first:

I'm Tenley... or Tenley Nadine, or perhaps hangingwithNadine if your a big fan of Youtube usernames. I'm 18 and this past fall I started college in Virginia with a major in Interior Design. I also like to write, and I participated in NaNoWriMo this part November, I lost, but it was my first try and 30,000 words is still a huge accomplishment. I am Nerdfighter and have been for a little over a year at this point (October 22nd, 2008). I'm particularly nerdy about things like literature, art and Harry Potter. And finally, I suck at writing introcuctions... always have.

That being said if there's anything you want to know that I left out just ask and I'll fill you in... unless its something creepy, then keep it to yourself.

Moving on! My life as been pretty laid back lately. I'm at home on Winter break until the 17th when I go back to school, so until then I've been using my time very wisely by sleeping and watching old episodes of the Guild. Have you girls seen the Guild? If you haven't you should watch it, its amazing. But then again, I haven't seen Dr. Who yet despite how much several of you love it. Sorry... maybe eventually.

Also, I already completed one of my new years resolutions! I learned how to edit, and started planning out a video to show off my incredible new skills. Just kidding.... about the incredible skills anyway.

Do you guys make resolutions? Or do you agree with Kayley Hyde, "if I wanna change something about myself, I'll change it and I don't really need a deadline for it." Oh there's another thing about me, I quote Youtuber's a lot. Which is why the slogan on my personal blog is, "fangirl much?", its very fitting.

Well, that's about all that's going on today... I'll see you next week, no I won't "see" you. I'll talk to you next week. No, that makes it seem like I won't talk to you on the ning or on Skype till next week. I know...

Oh right it's Sunday...

As usual I completely lost track of the days and forgot it was Sunday.  This tends to happen when I am on break, especially since classes start for me on Tuesday which I don't really understand.  But I've still got a few more hours of Sunday left so don't fret!

I guess I'll start with an introduction just in case anyone following us on this blog now did not watch our failed collab vlog.  Hi, my name is Arielle.  I'm 20 from Florida and currently in my second year of University studying Biochemistry and Jewish Studies.  I'm a huge nerd and have been so my entire life!  I love trying to keep up with way too many tv shows, spending countless hours on skype talking to my internet friends I consider closer friends than most of my IRL friends, and learning how to play my guitar.  My current obsession are tumblr (especially the ones dedicated to various body parts of David Tennant XD), Doctor Who, Harry Potter, and of course Nerdfightaria.  Oh and did I mention I'm on my school's Quidditch team? =D

Yeah I think that is a pretty good introduction...now onto blogging!

Sadly, winter break is coming to an end and I am driving back up to school tomorrow morning, but it has been a great two weeks!  My friend Rachel came down to Florida to escape the cold of New England and stayed with me for my entire break which was a lot of fun!  I also had a lot of family in town and it is always fun hanging out with my little cousins and my aunts and uncles.  We are a family who love board games and this year's favourite was Bananagrams!  I don't even know how many hours we spent playing but it was a lot!  Bananagrams is my new favourite game!

On top of all the family time this break, it was also a HUGE Doctor Who influenced vacation!  With End of Time Parts 1 and 2 airing bringing the end of the tenth doctor and the last days of David Tennant and Russel T. Davies, I spent a lot of  time watching the marathons on BBC America!  It was my first time seeing Doctor Who live on tv.  I tried really hard to get my friend to convert over to the Whoniverse but I have so far been unsuccessful =( Maybe another time.

Well it is now nearing 11 pm which is when I said I was going to go to bed so I don't fall asleep on the six hour drive back to school so I'm going to bring this to a close.  I am really looking forward to this new blog and hope it turns out better than our vlog did!  Amelia, I look forward to hearing from you tomorrow!

Happy New Year!!!!

Hello everyone, I'm Carissa and I am the blogger for fridays. I have been going over and over in my head what I was going to write about in the first ever RotN blog post. So much pressure! I thought I would just wing it, which is probably a bad idea. I may or may not be writing this during commercial breaks for the 44 hour marathon of Doctor Who on BBC America (that I am uber excited about). 

I should probably mention some things about me, so here are some basic facts. I’m 22 years old (my birthday is June 15th). I currently live in Pennsylvania, USA, although I was born in Florida. I love doctor who it is my addiction. I love reading (who doesn’t?) I have a major fear of praying mantises and stinkbugs (to the point where if I see one I refuse to be in the same room as it). My animal is the owl; I love them even though they are considered bad luck.

So how was everyone’s' new years eve? Mine was pretty uneventful. I went out to dinner with my cousins and then played a couple of rounds of golf (a cards game) and then watched Alice (the SYFY mini series) till midnight with my sister and my “adopted” sister, so pretty uneventful. About two years ago I did the New Years eve in Times Square, NYC. It was fun but i'll probably never do that again. We stood out in Times Square from 11am to midnight. The LONGEST DAY EVER!!! Plus they don't let you leave so….. I'll let you imagine. But we did get pizza delivered to Times Square which was awesome!

With every new year people make new years resolutions and I am not an exception. But my idea of resolutions has changed over the years. As a kid it was to be nicer to my little sister, convince my parents to let me get another dog or become more outgoing. But now my resolutions are things like; lose weight, read 100 books by 2011, and study harder in classes. I miss the old kid days where ones biggest concern was being sadly picked to be an octopus in the school play instead of the princess, or being the last one to the four square game at recess. What are some of your new years resolutions?

Girls I can’t wait to see everyone’s post here on the blog. I can’t wait to learn more about everyone and improve on my lack of blogging skills.
